United D Burch has season-ending foot surgery (AP)

| D.C. United defender Marc Burch has undergone season-ending surgery on his right foot. Burch was hurt last week in United's U.S. Open Cup semifinal loss to the Columbus Crew. He reaggravated an injury suffered in February that kept him out for most of the season and also required surgery. Burch played in only four games this season. MLS suspends Segares for additional game (AP)

| Chicago Fire defender Gonzalo Segares' suspension has been doubled to two games by Major League Soccer. Segares struck Los Angeles defender Leonardo during an off-the-ball incident in Saturday's 1-1 tie.
